I've extended the IPython notebook to run Sage, deal with 2d graphics, and add Sage docs to the "Help" menu. Obviously there is much more what one could do, but this is already usable. The dependencies (zeromq and pyzmq) should then also become standard packages. They have already been optional for a while. So here is the vote for making them standard...
