I was going to write an email saying essentially the same thing as
Nathann, so no point to repeat it. But he makes some *very important*
points.
You should really follow this advice, too many times these "external
projects" fail to become part of Sage because of not following proper
development practices.
Also important: start small, fix a few bugs just to get used to the Sage
development model. Try to make this person attend a Sage Days early on.
