we'd have to see if this will work well; they might have bandwidth 
throttling to 
make downloads of such files too slow to be practical.
But we should try. The most natural would be to add binary downloads to 
 https://github.com/sagemath/sage/releases/latest
(which is currently https://github.com/sagemath/sage/releases/tag/6.6)
