On a related note for those scared of Git, apparently (?) on Mac you can get Git AND the entire command line tools by doing something like this (copied from the thread I found this on): mac-one:~ user$ which git /usr/bin/git mac-one:~ user$ git xcode-select: note: no developer tools were found at '/Applications/Xcode.app', requesting install. Choose an option in the dialog to download the command line developer tools.
