I would love to be a release manager, but you and Jeroen made me
understand very very frequently that I still have a lot to learn
before I can do this kind of job. I would really really love to learn,
though.

I also do not give you any bad intentions. I don't always like your
style (I guess that it is mutual), but as you will have noticed from
the questions I often ask you I definitely trust your advice on a
great great many things.

In this situation, I would love to look at this new code at #18748 and
if somebody else does the review I will read it carefully anyway. But
I know that I will ask many questions, and that it will take time.

That's why I believe that it would be better to apply the simple patch
first, to have more time to deal with the much bigger #18748.
