If you are really interested that Sage gets this right you could review http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/16397
which changes sage: cmp(log(8), 3*log(2)) -1 to sage: cmp(log(8), 3*log(2)) 0 and this could then be used by any other solution that deals with the UI problem.
