In any case: I almost finished creating a debug build (i.e., with 
SAGE_DEBUG=yes, which should work by #16938.

When trying to do sage -i valgrind in a very early stage of making sage, 
the package failed to build. So, perhaps it is broken? After all, it is an 
experimental package. Will a system-wide installation of valgrind work 
(that's already installed)?
