First, about my available time (very little), but I hope to spend some
more time on this come Mid-May.

2nd, the saving of views:

Case 1: the user wants to send the graph to someone else who then
opens it in Jmol to see what they were looking at. This can be done
by switching to a recent version of Jmol and using the signed applet
in SAGE. Then the user can save the view in a .jpg or .jmol file on
their disk drive. So this one should be easy.

Case 2: Saving a worksheet after the user has changed the way the 3-D
plot looks. This requires saving data back to the server and will
require quite a bit more work. I think this will require a direct
collaboration between a Jmol programmer and someone with significant
experience programming the worksheet server. I estimate 2-4 wks of
solid work. I will need some way of getting some real credit for the
work, if I am to pursue it. Because of difficulties getting credit for
scholarship at my institution this translates into pay, a grant award
or some way of getting a refereed publication from the work. That
said, I will try to address it as I work in my "free" time on the Jmol
SAGE interface.
