Yes on both counts, but I find it more likely that the latter will
prevail, particularly since it's not really Sage, but how we use the
systems in question (and their strengths/weaknesses) that is really at
issue.   A Sage Days devoted to this - especially because many of the
things are really just growing pains from our own implementations of
quite a few years ago - would be nice, though.
