Hey everyone,

A while ago we were discussing settting up a SAGE IRC channel on freenode. William hasn't heard back from the freenode people about registering our name with them, so for now we have #SAGE-dev on irc.freenode.org.

Come join us! You'll need an IRC client.

For Windows, there are several IRC clients, inlcuding mIRC: http://www.mirc.com/.

On Linux/KDE, you can get Konversation.

For OS X, try Xirc: http://www.aquaticx.com/

Also, I installed an IRC client called BitchX on sage.math, if you'd prefer to use a console client.

This is just preliminary, the channel name could change in the future.

I've filled out that form under the auspices of "The SAGE Mathematics
Foundation", so
and will setup the chat room.
