Dear Pankaj,

Welcome! The Google Summer of Code program won't be active until some time
next year (keep an eye on google-melange.com). Until then, you can get
started by picking a project to work on (a ticket on the SageMath trac
server for Sage; I don't know where lmnd does their development) and diving
right in! SageMath.org has many resources for you (notably the developers'
guide, tutorials, and reference manual). Once you have made a start, you'll
have more specific questions that we can answer over in the sage-devel
Google group.

This won't guarantee a spot on the SageMath GSoC roster (competition is
stiff), but it will help you write a more specific proposal, and stand out
from the crowd.
