Hi Gopal, You can start by first going through the documentation <http://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/developer/index.html> and setting up Sage on your system. Sage is a really massive software and provides support for a large variety of fields such as graph theory, number theory, algebra, etc. and so you should first figure out where your interests lie (along with your background of the subject). Development happens via Trac <https://trac.sagemath.org/>. You can search through Beginner-Level tickets <https://trac.sagemath.org/query?status=needs_info&status=needs_review&status=needs_work&status=new&order=priority&col=id&col=summary&col=status&col=type&col=priority&col=milestone&col=component&keywords=~beginner&report=38> for one that interests you and start contributing to it.
Also, please try and ask more specific questions next time so that it will be easier for us to respond to them. Best, Arpit.
