The second preprint was written first. In that it is pointed out Clarke 
develops the work of Hurwitz and Carlitz to connect Bernoulli Hurwitz numbers 
to the L function in analogy to Bernoulli numbers being connected to the zeta 
function.

That is a direct way of getting the L function from the Weierstrass p function. 
The modular parameterization is connected to the L function in the usual way. 

Do you have the code to get the a_n's from the BH_n?
