I did that (using aria2) and it worked fine though there was a lot of output to the screen I did not recognise, and it seemed to keep on running after the download was complete -- is that the point of such things, that once I have a copy then others can get it from me? I expect that it not popular with our IT admin so I killed the process, and still had the 487207063 - byte file sage-6.7.tar.gz .
