I pulled sage-7.6.rc1, typed 'time MAKE="make -j1" make ', and the
build got stuck on ECL.   This is how top looked, with nearly 3 hours
of CPU time at 100%:

 571 salvus    19  -1   98600  76884   2896 R  99.9  0.2 202:11.43 ecl_min
