> The "master" git branch has been updated to Sage-8.7.

On Debian 9.8 ("stretch"), from a fresh git clone, building
python2-based SageMath with as many optional and experimental
packages as I could install gives the following:

- "make": success

- "make doc-pdf": fails on "de/a_tour_of_sage":

! Package babel Error: You haven't specified a language option.

- "make ptestlong":

  - one transient timeout in src/sage/parallel/map_reduce.py

    - src/sage/parallel/map_reduce.py # Timed out
(passes when later running "./sage -t --long --warn-long" on this file)

  - one transient failure related to optional package giacpy_sage

    - src/sage/rings/polynomial/multi_polynomial_ideal.py # 1 doctest failed
(passes when later running "./sage -t --long --warn-long" on this file)

  - one permanent failure involving p_group_cohomology and Singular's
dickson.lib

    - src/sage/tests/modular_group_cohomology.py # 14 doctests failed
(reproduced when later running "./sage -t --long --warn-long" on
this file;
the key seems to be the Singular error "cannot open dickson.lib")

Do others observe the failure with "make doc-pdf" on "de/a_tour_of_sage"?
Or should I check the babel package in my LaTeX installation?

Regarding the transient timeout in map_reduce (can provide details on demand)
and the transient failure in multi_polynomial_ideal.py related to giacpy_sage
(details follow), I'll keep an eye on them and in case they occur again I'll
check for an existing ticket or I'll open one.

Regarding the failures in src/sage/tests/modular_group_cohomology.py
related to the optional package p_group_cohomology (details follow),
can others confirm? Is there a fix? Should I install extra libraries
for Singular? What is the proper way to uninstall the optional package
p_group_cohomology if I need an installation that passes all tests
(say, to run a patchbot)?

Following are some extra details regarding the configuration and the tests.
