FYI: "experimental" means, it probably won't work, and more work is
usually needed to get the thing to install.  Moreover, there could easily
be subtle dependencies needed.

That said, if somebody were to volunteer to try to create a vtk spkg,
that would be wonderful.   If you don't know, VTK is an incredibly
powerful free open source C++ library for 3d visualization (at the
professional
scientific research level -- i.e., visualization output from big
supercomputing simulations, etc.).
