FWIW, on Mac OS X (10.4.9/PowerPC), this works in sage 2.4.2.  I do  
get a couple of complaints, though:

.../twisted/words/im/__init__.py:8:
    UserWarning: twisted.im will be undergoing a rewrite at some  
point in the future.

...numpy/testing/numpytest.py:634:
    DeprecationWarning: ScipyTest is now called NumpyTest; please  
update your code

(which are not SAGE problems, of course).
