I attempted to build sage-2.8.3.4 from source
using the gcc-4.2.1 compiler suite.
On both my x86-Linux and x86_64-Linux machines
the build succeeded, but 'make test'
hung at
sage -t devel/sage-main/sage/calculus/calculus.py
Also may I make a small plea that
'make check' be put back in the
makefile as an alias for 'make test'.
For those of us who do a lot of GNU software builds,
'make check' is what we are used to typing.
