"Re: [sage-support] Why does sage not use Qemu?"
The answer to this question is:
(1) Nobody has yet made a Sage QEMU machine and posted it so we
could try it out and
test it. I really wish somebody would do so.
(2) Depending on the results of (1), nobody has volunteered to
maintain a QEMU release
of Sage, which is trivial to install on Windows.
(3) What are the MS Windows <--> QEMU networking issues like? In
Vmware they mostly
"just work"; with coLinux (using TAP), networking was an
exercise in misery. Setting
up a virtual network between the host and guest is critical
for Sage to work.
