OK, I've done all that and figured out how to tackle the Python bits. Now I'm having trouble recompiling the C++ source in the cremona... package. I unpacked the source into $(SAGE_ROOT)/spkg/build/ cremona-20071124.p4, ran 'sage -sh' to set up the environment, and typed make. I'm including the first few lines of the output, which should be sufficient to indicate the nature of the problem. If you need more, let me know...
