Hello,

I am trying to install sage on an Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) machine,
*server* version.

I have installed the binary: sage-3.0-ubuntu_8.04_LTS_32bit-intel-p4-
i686-Linux.tar.gz

After uncompressing, I enter sage-3.0.... and I launch ./sage

I get the error message:

/home/sage-3.0-Ubuntu_8.04_LTS_32bit-P4-i686-Linux/local/bin/sage-
sage: line 214: 10508 Illegal instruction sage-ipython "$@" -c
"$SAGE_STARTUP_COMMAND;"

Any idea ?

Yours
t.d.
