Now i am sure that the leak is in libsingular. I produced an F5 version that thoroughly uses Singular via pexpect, but makes no use of libsingular. That's the only change. See http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/SimonKing/f5/f5S.pyx I know that I use the pexpect interface in a very inefficient way. So it is very slow -- but there is no leak! However, as my knowledge of libsingular, guppy and valgrind tends to zero, I doubt that I will be able to solve the problem.
