You can also do the following: M = random_matrix(IntegerModRing(10), 3, 3) Madj = M.parent() (M.lift().adjoint())
In other words, we lift M to a matrix over ZZ, compute its adjoint and reduce it mod 10 again (by "coercing it into the parent of M" in sage- speak).
