Just compiled, it took me about 3 hours. And the latest output seems
fine, it says:

Build finished. The built documents can be found in /home/ene/
sage-4.0/devel/sage/doc/output/html/en/a_tour_of_sage
sphinx-build -b html -d /home/ene/sage-4.0/devel/sage/doc/output/
doctrees/fr/tutorial . /home/ene/sage-4.0/devel/sage/doc/output/
html/fr/tutorial
Build finished. The built documents can be found in /home/ene/
sage-4.0/devel/sage/doc/output/html/fr/tutorial
To install gap, gp, singular, etc., scripts
in a standard bin directory, start sage and
type something like
   sage: install_scripts('/usr/local/bin')
at the SAGE command prompt.

But when I run sage, it's the same error. Actually the sage prompt
appears but when I try to run the notebook() it says:
NameError: name 'notebook' is not defined
And the same when I run install_scripts('/usr/local/bin')

It's a virtual linux server
http://alta.1and1.es/xml/order/ServidoresVirtualesLinux;jsessionid=10EC73D0D1EE11F008D1B26B2DE91612.TC31a?__frame=_top&__lf=Static
Ubuntu 8.04 LTS minimal
 Quad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2352
64 bits

First I tried with the binaries 3.4.2 and this time with the 4.0
source code.

Thanks.
