I have a 4.0.1 binary for a OSX.4 G4 (for the same reason as the OP). I think that gsw was also making some. I would be happy to put it somewhere but I haven't got a clue where, nor do I have a sage.math account to do so anyway. I don't have an extra gig of space on an ftp server, unfortunately :)
