Well,

the discussions related to Distribute, as already pointed out, are
taking place in the distutils-sig mailing list and the docs available
in Pypi are the only ones available at the moment.

>From my personal experience, setuptools bootstrap module, ez_setup.py,
is not compatible with Distribute requiring replacement by the
equivalent distribute_setup.py
