Hi, I downloaded source code for Sage 4.1.2 today and tried to compile it. The compilation failed because the installation scripts seem to assume that gcc is located in /opt/gnu/bin while SLES 10.2 keeps it in /usr/ bin. Creation of a symbolic link pointing to the actual location of gcc solved the problem and all binaries were successfully created.
