Please click the Text link in the notebook, then paste the result here in an email. The error message you get "You might want to run SAGE under gdb with 'sage -gdb' to debug this. SAGE will now terminate (sorry)." is supposed to explain what you should do. However, it is really useless if you're using the notebook! Instead one should get a message that really explains what to do, which makes sense even for notebook users. Also, it would be good if the notebook had a mode where it can run the worksheet process under gdb and at least give a traceback when Sage segfaults. So many thanks for your question.
