Hi, I'm trying to work through some parts of William Stein's book on
the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, and I'm doing some examples
in SAGE. Everything seems to work fine, but I always get an error
message when I try to compute the real period, I even tried the same
example that is on the book, with the elliptic curve
EllipticCurve('11a') but it didn't work. I have already installed the
Cremona database. The error I get when I do the computation E.omega()
is the following:
sage:E.omega()
sage: AttributeError: 'EllipticCurve_rational_field' object has no
attribute 'omega'
Could anyone please help me with this?
