Hi How do I define a group abstractly, via generators and relations? I have a family of finite groups to consider, which has a simple presentation, but no simple permutation or matrix representation (that I'm aware of).
Specifically I'm interested in the double cover of A_n. I'd like to study it using a presentation for a double cover of S_n, but I'm not sure how to implement this.
