R.<A,B,C>=QQ[] print get_memory_usage() for i in xrange(10000): (an,bn,cn)=map(lambda x: abs(x((1,8,9))), (A,B,C)) print get_memory_usage() 819.94921875 828.94921875 Why is the memory usage increasing with 9Mb? This only happens when "map" is used repeatedly! I would expect no increase at all.
