I have set up an experimental SAGE server on my school's LAN. I'm
running SAGE 4.4-alpha on a VMware Player virtual (Linux) machine, on
top of a Windows 2003 Server. I gave the virtual machine a fixed IP
address and a DNS-name sage.vm.

Now, when accessing the SAGE server across the lan, everything seems
to work fine. However, I want to make the server accessible from the
internet too. So I published the SAGE server by means of an ISA server
access rule. Request from outside, addressed to 'sage.vmx.<our domain>:
8080/*' are redirected to 'sage.vm:80/*' (* is a wildcard). Although
the SAGE server is seen from the outside, al kinds of weird errors
show up. Sometimes I manage to logon, but can't logoff from the
server, other times I get an error straight from the beginning.
Firefox says:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for
this address in a way that will never complete.

The problem seems to be an infinite loop in redirecting the browser.
Similar problems have been reported with PHP-sites but I doubt if SAGE
uses PHP. Anyone familiar with this problem? Any suggestions for a
workaround?
