Thank you for your bug report. I can confirm this problem with Sage 4.5.2:
sage: version()
'Sage Version 4.5.2, Release Date: 2010-08-05'
sage: var('l'); var('r');
sage: x = (r+l)/(r-l)
sage: latex(x)
\frac{-l + r}{l - r}
sage: x
-(l + r)/(l - r)
