Hello Mathematica has a symbolic product so that means Sage should. I don't think Sage does.
I found symbolic sum but not symbolic product in the reference files. I need to be able to define a function of a variable x which involves several symbolic products from 1 to n or whatever. I then want to be able to do a derivative and a limit of this. I am trying out Sage because Mathematica doesn't seem to be able to handle this stuff exactly. I can define the function just fine but when I try to take the limit Mathematica can't seem to handle it. Even when I give n a value of 2 and the limit should be extremely easy, Mathematica can not do it. So, I thought I would see if Sage could handle such a thing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support URL: http://www.sagemath.org
