Dear Group,

I am trying to install the sage-4.3.4 cygwin's binary, (few months ago I tried
to build from source 4.4.3 - see "cygwin Sage-4.4.3 almost installed" in a
previous message subject, following William's directions unsuccessfully -
because the process had stopped at the hard link between python-2.6.exe and
python.exe). Now, I download, decompress and untar the file, I have deleted the
sage-flags.txt file according to the suggestion given in the warning "pni flag
missing" message.
Then after the ./sage command, the initialization process started and after
some minutes it sent the message:
"Setting permissions of DOT_SAGE directory so only you can read and write it
...
    ... Killed"

Then I give again the ./sage command, ocurring something different:
"Setting permissions of DOT_SAGE directory so only you can read and write it
...
... /home/ssgrge/sage-4.3.4/local/bin/sage-sage: line 206:3304 Illegal
instruction (core dumped)
    sage -ipython "$@" -i"

I would appreciate very much, any suggestions you can give me.
Jorge

Subject: [sage-support] sage-4.3.4 cygwin binary : pni flag missing complain
Date: Mon, 6 Dec 2010 15:06:55 -0600

 Dear Alec Mihailovs,

I have just installed your sage-binary in my last release's cygwin Windows XP,
but I got the same "pni flag missing" warning you mentioned in your 14th April
message (yes my Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop have seen better times), the screen
says that I can just delete the sage-flags.txt in order to run sage. Is that
correct?, or -perhaps better- is there some unix-like instruction I can give,
in order to have the flag correctly set?

Thank you in advance

Jorge
