I have and use sage version 4.4.1 and would like to update to version
4.6.2 but am having difficulties:

I have a mac, running osX version 10.5.8 with 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2
Duo processor.

I assumed I could just download the newest sage (sage-4.6.2-
OSX-64bit-10.6-i386-Darwin-app.dmg), unpack it, and copy it to my
applications folder. Doing that and trying to run sage gave the error
"The application python quit unexpectedly". This happens repeatedly
if I try to re-run it.

I did not delete my previous version of sage while doing this
(mistake?). I can still open and run that one.

As an aside I did successfully download and install 4.6.2 on my other
computer last night, but there I did not have a previous version of
sage downloaded.

Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you,

Morgan Sherman
