There are several people who have had PPC Linux access in the past -
not too many, but a few - and Sage has worked fine in 32-bit mode, I
think.  I don't see why one wouldn't be able to port further.  For
instance, numpy devs have been *very* responsive in fixing exactly
this kind of thing, or are often aware of them before we are.
