This was a mistake ! I actually forgot to free some memory in both of these backends ! ;-) The bug is fixed, though. It is now ticket 11917 : http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/11917 If you feel like reviewing it, it will then be merged to the next Sage release :-) Thank you for reporting this bug anyway !
