Hola!
I experimented almost a complete day with the seemingly simple
problem, I want to program a simple function, like:
f(u,v)=\cases{ 2, if u>=v,
0, else.}
and similar functions. As I want tom do calculus, I need symbolic
expressions, not Python functions.
I tries using thing like
step(x) = Piecewise([[(-infinity,0), lambda x : 0],[(0,infinity),
lambda x : 1]],x)
and then
f(u,v) = step(u-v)*2
but it does not work.
Ideas?
Also, Any suggestions about where to read about such things?
