Hi Everyone,

After my annual license for Maple ran out I started searching for an
alternative and came across Sage. I'm no maths or computer genius so I
have a few questions which I'd be stoked if you guys could answer.

1. Why install if there appears to be a web based interface? There
seems to be no mention of this anywhere but is the implication that
the web interface (which I guess runs on some server, somewhere) is
intended as a demonstration and to reduce load on this server we
should install Sage when we intend to use it for real?

2. Is there a "Natural Display" type equation editor for it? It's a
feature I love on my Casio 991 and my HP 40 GS? If not have you guys
found it hard to learn the syntax?

Many Thanks,
Chris.
