This should be configurable.  Probably (?) not appropriate on
sagenb.org, though who knows?  But default for local use should be to
see them - very useful for teachers who are not admins, typical use
case.

Again, should be configurable.

You should be able to do it like WeBWorK does it, by uploading a txt
file with the usernames.
