I think the file is corrupted. This has been reported at 
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/13211. Meanwhile, do this:

   ./sage -i database_gap-4.4.12.p1

This is probably a better choice anyway, since it matches the version of 
GAP installed with Sage.
