I don't think it's the first time we see someone trying to build Sage from a binary distro... It might be good to add an extra link to source on http://www.sagemath.org/download-[your system].html All you see there at the top is "Click here for other systems" which is misleading if you need source. Can one put next to it "Click here for Source" which leads to http://www.sagemath.org/download-source.html ? Also, it would be good to change the link "Source [sage-verision]" on http://www.sagemath.org/ to "Source download [sage-verision]" Dima > My thanks for all assistance. > > -Richard Vaughn > > On Thursday, January 31, 2013 10:36:11 AM UTC-5, [email protected] wrote: >> >> Our story thus far... >> >> Am running 64-bit Scientfic Linux 6.3 and Sage 5.6. >> >> I then installed IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio V12.5 for Linux x86-6= > 4=20 >> Multilingual. >> >> After creating several symbolic links, I then ran "sage -b" and received= >=20 >> the appended. >> >> Thoughts? >> >> -*Richard Vaughn* >> >> =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= >=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= >=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D >> >> ---------------------------------------------------------- >> sage: Building and installing modified Sage library files. >> >> >> Installing c_lib >> scons: `install' is up to date. >> Updating Cython code.... >> Executing 0 commands (using 1 thread) >> Time to execute 0 commands: 0.0257661342621 seconds >> Finished compiling Cython code (time =3D 0.549171924591 seconds) >> running install >> running build >> running build_py >> running build_ext >> warning: Replacing library search directory in linker command: >> =20 >> "/home/buildbot/build/sage/rosemary-1/rosemary_binary/build/sage-5.6/loca= > l/lib"=20 >> -> "/usr/share/sage-5.6/local/lib" >> >> building 'sage.numerical.backends.cplex_backend' extension >> Executing 1 command (using 1 thread) >> gcc -fno-strict-aliasing -fwrapv -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall=20 >> -Wstrict-prototypes -fPIC -I/usr/share/sage-5.6/local/include/=20 >> -Isage/c_lib/include/ -I/usr/share/sage-5.6/local/include=20 >> -I/usr/share/sage-5.6/local/include/csage=20 >> -I/usr/share/sage-5.6/devel/sage/sage/ext=20 >> -I/usr/share/sage-5.6/local/include/python2.7 -c=20 >> sage/numerical/backends/cplex_backend.c -o=20 >> build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.7/sage/numerical/backends/cplex_backend.o -w >> In file included from=20 >> /usr/share/sage-5.6/local/include/python2.7/Python.h:38:0, >> from sage/numerical/backends/cplex_backend.c:4: >> /usr/include/string.h:548:5: error: unknown type name =E2__locale_t=E2 >> /usr/include/string.h:552:18: error: unknown type name =E2__locale_t=E2 >> error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 >> Error installing modified sage library code. >> > > --=20 > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "= > sage-support" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an e= > mail to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support?hl=3Den. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > > > ------=_Part_455_21756352.1360780437407 > Content-Type: text/html;
