Dear all, I will give a couple of informal talks on Sage. A question that will certainly be asked is how Sage compares with MATLAB, probably in regards of performance and functionality in modeling and other applied math applications. (It seems that MATLAB is widely used here.) Since this is not my area (and I have not used MATLAB) I thought I should ask in case some have experience with both.
If I remember well, Sage can use/interact with SciPy and or NumPy in these applications, and my question about sage does not exclude the use of those (within Sage).
