Luc, Do you have it set (in Preferences) to automatically start the server? Or do you already have a server running?
Also, what version of Sage are you running? I think the default was changed from localhost:8000 to localhost:8080 some time ago. If you have been using the same Sage.app with new versions of Sage, you'll want to get a newer version of Sage.app. There is also a bug that will be fixed in the next version where Sage.app won't properly identify a running server. It might think a server is running when one isn't. But to consistently be opening to port 8000 is fishy. -Ivan On Mar 6, 2013, at 7:22 PM, Luc Bourhis <[email protected]> wrote: > hi, > > whether I use the menu "Open Notebook" on the Sage application icon, or the > "Open Notebook" in either of the File or the Server menu, Safari opens a new > window at the address localhost:8000 with an error "Safari can't connect to > the server". However if I click "Start Sage Server", it works. > > What is it I am doing wrong? > > Best wishes, > > Luc J.
