Do you have it set (in Preferences) to automatically start the server?  Or do 
you already have a server running?

Also, what version of Sage are you running?  I think the default was changed 
from localhost:8000 to localhost:8080 some time ago.  If you have been using 
the same Sage.app with new versions of Sage, you'll want to get a newer version 
of Sage.app.

There is also a bug that will be fixed in the next version where Sage.app won't 
properly identify a running server.  It might think a server is running when 
one isn't.  But to consistently be opening to port 8000 is fishy.
