I would not like to recommend to any mathematician to use a piece of software which, when asked to give the roots of (t-1)^2 over a field, returns the empty list. I do understand the reasons for this -- and have also followed the discussion on pari-dev -- (an inexact coefficient field, etc, etc) but still!
