know they existed. I'm not sure where the error comes from, but it
might stem from us having an upgraded matplotlib in the cell server (so

I introduced that parameter in http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/14664
It is required for ensuring that *eps* or *pdf* image files are created
with type1 fonts. This is absolutely imperative for certain journal or
conference submissions where type3 fonts are not allowed.
Of course, the latex or type1 typeset require that latex and some other
packages be installed and properly functioning in the system. The exact
requirements are spelled out in the documentation of this parameter.
Thanks for pointing this out. I looked in the wrong place (in the
implicit_plot documentation), not realizing it was a show parameter.
It sounds like some packages aren't installed in the cell server:
