I downloaded sage 6.3 sources tarball and moved everything to /usr/local/
so I'm running make in /usr/local/sage-6.3
Make proceeds fine until testing the install of ntl-6.1.0 which fails what
looks like the first test with the message "running tests......G2FX test
failed!"
Above that there are some troubling warnings about ldconfig, "ldconfig:
Can't link
/usr/local/sage-6.3/local/lib//usr/local/sage-6.3/local/lib/libatlas.so to
libatlas.so"
That just doesn't look right it; it looks like there is a {$Path}{$Path}
somewhere where should just be a {$Path} but I don't know where to look for
or how to fix that.
"sudo ldconfig" works fine when run from the terminal.
Before attempting to install sage I had emerged g2fx and ntl and they seem
to be fine outside of sage.
If you've gotten the wrong impress let me just state clearly, I really
don't know what I'm doing.
I would appreciate any help and I apologize if I haven't provided enough
information.
Thanks.
