Thanks, Peter, both for showing the workaround and reporting it. Meanwhile I realize that it is even more urgent to work on improving the algorithm='sage' version since it is still working after 20 minutes. Of course, over Q there is no reason to re-implement a function already implemented in pari; but the fast version over number fields will also be useful.
